Set productivity alarms in Factbird to reduce downtime

Download the lesson slides >

Productivity alarms in Factbird notify teams about problems as they happen so they can act on them in real time before they turn into costly downtime or prolonged slow runs.

There are two types of productivity alarms in Factbird:

  • Stop alarms notify you when a line has been down longer than a set time (e.g., 2 minutes).
  • Speed alarms alert you when production speed falls below a defined threshold (e.g., 70% of validated speed).

In this lesson, you’ll see step-by-step how to create both types of alarms. You’ll learn how to:

  1. Navigate to the Alarms tab in a sensor.
  2. Create a new stop alarm and set the trigger time (in seconds).
  3. Choose which types of stops to track (e.g., technical downtime, changeovers).
  4. Add subscribers who should receive alerts by email or SMS.
  5. Create a speed alarm that notifies you when performance drops below a set percentage.

With these alarms in place, you’ll always know when production is slowing or stopping so you can take quick action to keep efficiency on track.
