Powering the world’s best manufacturers

Seamlessly capture production data
Factbird bridges OT and IT by making it easy to connect machines, systems, and people. From capturing signals at the line to syncing KPIs with enterprise software, we help you build a single source of truth for your operations.
Faster decisions
Real-time, contextualized data across machines and systems.
Seamless scaling
Roll out across lines, sites, and countries with centralized control.
Easy-to-use
Automate handoffs with APIs, connectors, and webhooks.

Secure data
Encrypted transmission and role-based access at every step.
"Because it’s very easy to install. It took us only 3.5 hours, then all our lines were up and running. And then there was no interaction between our IT infrastructure, so all these things where you need to find out if it’s possible or not. We’re simply the easy accessibility, and then we could get the data right away."
Integration features built for modern manufacturing
Device connectivity, open APIs, and real-time webhooks power end-to-end data flow from machine signals to your enterprise systems. With Factbird’s manufacturing intelligence solutions, you can deploy fast, stay secure, and scale globally.
Capture machine data without complexity
Factbird integrates directly with your existing production equipment and control systems, no major retrofits or downtime required. Whether you’re collecting signals from a single PLC or monitoring dozens of lines across multiple plants, we make device connectivity simple, secure, and scalable.
- Native protocols: Connect via MQTT and OPC UA (Kepware).
- Edge-ready: Process data locally before sending it to the cloud.
- Flexible deployment: Support for on-premises, cloud, or hybrid setups.
- Secure by design: Encrypted transmission and controlled access.
Build deeper integrations with full API access
Our open GraphQL API gives your engineering and IT teams the freedom to integrate Factbird data into your existing applications or build new solutions around it. Pull production data into dashboards, trigger workflows in other software, or connect to custom analytics platforms.
- Query live or historical data programmatically
- Automate workflows and reporting
- Integrate with third-party systems or custom-built apps
Turn production events into instant actions across your business
Connect Factbird with the systems you already use, such as ERP, BI, or MES, by sharing key production events the moment they happen. This helps automate workflows, reduce manual work, and keep information consistent across your operations.
Factbird immediately sends that data to your chosen endpoint - notifying for example your ERP system that a batch has been produced which needs to trigger an order status update, an inventory adjustment, or start the next process automatically.
- Push data instantly as events occur
- Automate routine workflows without manual input
- Eliminate delays and data silos across systems

Frequently Asked Questions
How secure is the transmission of PLC data to the cloud using Factbird?
Factbird prioritizes the security of PLC data transmission to the cloud. It utilizes industry-standard security measures such as encryption and authentication to protect the data during transmission. MQTT supports secure connections using protocols like MQTT over SSL/TLS, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the data being transmitted.
How do MQTT clients work?
MQTT clients are the end users of the communication system. Clients can both publish messages on a specific topic and subscribe to topics to receive messages. Each client is identified by a client ID, which helps in distinguishing between different clients in the system. You can read more about it in our guide by clicking here.
Can I access my PLC data remotely with Factbird?
Yes, since Factbird transmits PLC data to the cloud, it can be accessed remotely from any device with an internet connection, providing you with real-time insights.
What businesses would benefit from exploiting the potential of OPC UA standards in their data transmission processes?
Any businesses looking to optimize interoperability and achieve seamless PLC data transfer would benefit from exploiting the OPC UA standards. This is particularly beneficial for businesses with diverse automation devices and complex data transmission processes.
Can I choose between a general or private Factbird cloud platform for storing my PLC data?
Factbird offers the flexibility to choose between a general or private cloud platform for storing your PLC data. The general cloud platform allows you to leverage Factbird's infrastructure, ensuring ease of use and scalability. If you have specific security or compliance requirements, Factbird also provides a private cloud platform option. This enables you to have dedicated and isolated cloud resources for enhanced data privacy and control.
How does Factbird ensure the smooth integration of PLC data into the cloud?
No matter which data transmission method you choose, Factbird works closely with you to ensure a smooth cloud integration process. We configure the AWS cloud service to effectively receive and store your data from the MQTT broker or the OPC UA client.
What are webhooks in Factbird?
Webhooks allow Factbird to automatically push structured JSON data to a specified external endpoint whenever certain production events occur (e.g. batch start, batch end).
Does Factbird guarantee the receiving system will process the webhook data?
No, webhooks are a push mechanism from Factbird, but the receiving endpoint (e.g. your ERP, MES, or API server) must be capable of handling the JSON payloads correctly. Factbird does not take responsibility for how the receiving system processes them.
Who can create or manage webhooks?
Access to the Webhooks configuration is typically restricted to users with administrative or superuser permissions. You must access the System / Webhooks section in the admin panel to view, add, or modify webhooks.
