Training and skills management in Factbird

Factbird’s Knowledge Excellence app provides a systematic approach to training and skills management.

It helps manufacturers build workforce capabilities from onboarding to upskilling, ensuring the right skills are available to meet production demands.

You can access Training and Skills Management by clicking Learning in the application menu. From there, three main sections give you a complete view of workforce development:

Learning Activities

The foundation of training in Factbird. Learning Activities are individual courses, lessons, or exercises that employees complete as part of their training program.

Skills

A collection of Learning Activities grouped into broader skill areas. Skills represent the overall capabilities your employees need to be certified or trained in, such as quality checks, machine setup, or safety procedures.

Skill Matrix

A visual overview of employee progress. The Skill Matrix shows which employees are enrolled in or have completed different Skills, making it easy to track readiness and identify gaps.

With Training and Skills Management, Factbird connects workforce development directly to shop floor needs, helping you onboard faster, upskill employees consistently, and ensure production always has the right skill profiles available.
