Add and track production batches in Factbird
Batches in Factbird let you track work orders directly in the system so you can monitor progress, compare planned versus actual output, and evaluate performance. On the batches page, you’ll see all completed, pending, and currently running batches.
There are three ways to add batches in Factbird:
- ERP integration: Import batches automatically from your existing ERP system.
- Batch import sheet: Use an Excel template to upload batch details in bulk.
- Manual entry: Add individual batches directly in Factbird.
This lesson shows you how to add a batch manually. Please watch the video for the best guide. Otherwise, here's a description of how to manually add batches:
- Go to the Batches page and click the plus button in the bottom right.
- Select Add a batch.
- Choose a product from your predefined list. Factbird automatically fills in validated speed, expected speed, and data multipliers.
- Enter a unique batch number.
- Add the planned amount you expect to produce.
- Set the planned start time and date for the batch.
- Click Create batch to save it.
The batch will then appear in your list as pending until it starts. Once the batch begins, you can add the actual start and stop times, and operators can later add scrap and comments.
By adding batches in Factbird, you create a clear link between your planned production and real results, making it easier to track efficiency and performance over time.
